Explore the best sights of Cappadocia on this full-day tour with a knowledgeable guide. Marvel at incredible monuments from the underground cities to Göreme open air museum.

Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cappadocia between 9:30 and 9:45am for Cappadoica Explorer Private Tour.

The first stop of the tour is at Esentepe Panoramic Viewpoint – the very best place to photograph Goreme and its surroundings. From there you will go to visit and explore an underground city, at Derinkuyu, the biggest and deepest (8 levels) underground city in Cappadocia region. The underground cities were complete with wells, chimneys for air circulation, niches for oil lamps, stores, water tanks, stables, tunnels, wineries, kitchens, churches and many other sections. While you are visiting the underground city, your guide will explain the history of the sections. Next, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. Next, visit Pigeon valley and hear about the role of pigeons in the region while you are enjoying a spectacular panoramic view. Next stop of the tour is Göreme Open Air Museum where the best-preserved and documented ancient churches are waiting for you to explore. Then you will go to the Old Greek Village of Çavusin, to see the Greek houses dating back to the 5th century. Next stop is Avanos, the town on the Kizilirmak River (Red River) where pottery making as a local craft dates back perhaps 5000 years. You can even have a go on the potter’s wheel yourself to see if it would be a good career move for you!  The tour continues with a walk around Paşabağ where the unique fairy chimneys abound and you will see that some have more than one head. You will see the famous ‘Family’ of fairy chimneys, the symbols of Cappadocia and the Devrent Valley, known as Imagination Valley which contains many animal shaped rocks – how many can you spot?

Ürgüp is the last stop of the tour where you may get the chance to sample some local wine.

You will return to your hotel at around 17:00 – 17:30, full of happy memories from your day.

How many people are typically on your tours?
Our private tours are only for the people you book for. If you are alone, it will just be you and your guide. If you are a couple, just the two of you and your guide, and so on.
