With fewer balloons in the area, the experience offers a calm atmosphere and excellent opportunities to photograph Cappadocia from above.
The Çat Valley Balloon Flight includes approximately 45–60 minutes in the air in a shared basket. The exact route, altitude and landing point vary each morning according to the wind conditions, making every flight a unique experience.

What to Expect
Balloon Preparation and Safety Briefing
Watch the ground crew prepare and inflate the balloon while completing the final safety checks. Before boarding, the pilot will explain the safety procedures and correct landing position.
Sunrise Balloon Flight over Çat Valley
Take off around sunrise for an approximately 45–60-minute flight over Çat Valley’s fairy chimneys, cave dwellings, volcanic rock formations and rural landscapes. The exact route, altitude and views vary according to the morning wind conditions.
Landing Celebration and Hotel Return
After landing, enjoy a traditional champagne celebration and receive a commemorative flight certificate. You will then be transferred back to your hotel.

- A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking.

The remaining balance is required in cash on the day of the flight in EUR, TRY or USD.

If the remaining balance is paid by credit card, a 10% surcharge will apply to the outstanding amount.
Cancellation and Weather

Free cancelation up to 48 hours before the flight date.
- If the flight is cancelled due to bad weather, a full refund will be provided, or yo can choose to reschedule for the next day, subject to availability.

For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the flight date, the full booking cost will apply as a cancellation fee.
- Flight permissions in Cappadocia are controlled by Turkey’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM/DGCA) based on weather conditions. The flight status is updated according to the latest weather data, one day before the flight or on the day of the flight.

- Pick-up and drop-off are included from centrally located hotels and addresses in Cappadocia.
- Your exact pick-up time will be confirmed the day before the flight.

Can Çat Valley flights operate when Göreme flights are cancelled?
Çat Valley has its own flight area and may experience different local weather conditions. Flights may occasionally operate there when Göreme flights cannot, but this is not guaranteed and always depends on Civil Aviation approval.
Are hotel transfers included?
Yes. Round-trip hotel transfers are included from centrally located hotels in Göreme, Ürgüp, Uçhisar, Avanos, Çavuşin and Ortahisar. Your exact pick-up time will be confirmed one day before the flight.
What happens if the flight is cancelled because of bad weather?
If the flight is cancelled due to weather conditions, you may reschedule for the following morning, subject to availability, or receive a full refund.

I have no fault of this experience from pick up to drop off it was professionally and enjoyably... done. The staff were fun and friendly. The pilot was talented and added some fun aspects shadows on rock faces, commentary etc. It can be a bit daunting to spend this much on an experience but this is one of those that are really worth it. We flew mainly over the Valley of Love, but from above, you can see the entire area between Goreme and Uchisar. The price is €70 per person, but the price depends on the weather.
