Itinerary

Cappadocia Green Tour (Southern Cappadocia Tour)
Your tour guide and driver will meet you at your hotel in Cappadocia between 9:30 and 9:45 am for a full-day Cappadocia Green Tour (also known as the Southern Cappadocia Tour).

During the tour, your guide will provide information about the region and details about each place you visit. They will also be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The first stop of the tour is at Esentepe Panoramic Viewpoint – the best place to photograph Göreme and its surroundings. Afterward, you will visit and explore an underground city, either Derinkuyu or Kaymakli. Following that, you will take a walk in the beautiful Ihlara Valley, covering about 3 or 4 km, visiting churches and points of interest along the way. Lunch will be served at Belisirma Village, at the end of your walk, where you can refresh your tired feet in the Melendiz River.

After lunch, you will see the spectacular fairy chimneys at Yaprakhisar before visiting Selime Cathedral Rock Monastery. Take the opportunity for a nap for an hour or so as you drive back towards Göreme, waking to take a look at Pigeon Valley and learning about the role of pigeons in the region. Just opposite the Pigeon Valley viewpoint, you can learn about Onyx and semi-precious stones being worked into jewelry and ornaments. If there is time, you may be lucky enough to try some of the famous Turkish delight and typical dried fruits from a local vendor.
