Standard Balloon Flight

The Standard Balloon Flight is ideal for first-time visitors, couples, solo travelers, families with children aged six and above, and groups of friends seeking the complete Göreme sunrise balloon experience at a more accessible price. Compared with the Comfort Balloon Flight, the main difference is the number of passengers sharing the basket. Both flight types operate within the same Göreme flight area, with routes determined by the daily wind conditions, and offer the same planned flight duration and included services.

What to Expect
Pre-Flight Preparation
Enjoy a light breakfast while the crew prepares and inflates the balloon. Before boarding, the pilot will explain the safety procedures and landing position.
Sunrise Flight
Take off at sunrise for a 60-minute flight over Göreme’s spectacular valleys. Float above fairy chimneys, ancient cave settlements, traditional villages and distinctive rock formations while capturing breathtaking photos of Cappadocia’s landscape. At the end of the flight, the pilot selects a suitable landing area according to the wind conditions and guides the balloon through a controlled landing.
Landing Celebration and Return
After landing, celebrate with a traditional champagne toast and receive a commemorative flight certificate before being transferred back to your hotel.

- A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking.

If the remaining balance is paid by credit card, a 10% surcharge will apply to the outstanding amount.
Cancellation and Weather

Free cancelation up to 48 hours before the flight date.
- If the flight is cancelled due to bad weather, a full refund will be provided, or yo can choose to reschedule for the next day, subject to availability.

For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the flight date, the full booking cost will apply as a cancellation fee.
- Flight permissions in Cappadocia are controlled by Turkey’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM/DGCA) based on weather conditions. The flight status is updated according to the latest weather data, one day before the flight or on the day of the flight.
Hotel Transfers
- Pick-up and drop-off are included from centrally located hotels and addresses in Cappadocia.
- Your exact pick-up time will be confirmed the day before the flight.
Passenger Requirements

Does the Standard Flight take off at sunrise?
Yes. The experience is scheduled for sunrise, when the landscape is illuminated by the first light of the day and more than 100 balloons may be visible across the Göreme area.
What is the difference between the Standard and Comfort flights?
Both flights last approximately 60 minutes and take place in the main Göreme flight area. The main difference is basket capacity: the Standard Flight carries up to 28 passengers, while the Comfort Flight offers a smaller group experience with up to 20 passengers. All other included services and route is the same.
Can children under six years old fly?
Children aged 4 or 5 may be accepted in exceptional cases. This depends on the weather conditions on the flight day and the pilot’s final safety assessment.

I have no fault of this experience from pick up to drop off it was professionally and enjoyably... done. The staff were fun and friendly. The pilot was talented and added some fun aspects shadows on rock faces, commentary etc. It can be a bit daunting to spend this much on an experience but this is one of those that are really worth it.
