Quite frankly, no. But it is an amazing experience. Camels are very smart and affectionate animals although they can be pretty stubborn at times! And so despite the bumps (both on the road and on the camel), you will love the ride!
Guests have said riding is like being on a comfortable moving armchair. Camels are slightly slower than horses because they can only reach speeds of around 20 to 25 miles per hour while horses have an average gallop speed around 25 to 30 miles per hour. Racehorses are usually a bit faster than regular camels, but camels that are trained to race can be just as fast.
Camels are gentle and friendly creatures. Most people don't get much of a chance to interact with them, so they might have many questions about this interesting creature, including what types of camels there are and what do camels eat.
