Explore Cappadocia’s dramatic valleys on a 2-hour sunset ATV (quad bike) tour, riding through rugged off-road trails as the sky turns gold, pink and orange over the fairy chimneys. Departing in the late afternoon, this Cappadocia quad bike tour takes you through the region’s scenic off-road valleys, where volcanic rock formations and centuries-old cave dwellings line the route.
No previous ATV experience is required — riders of all skill levels are guided through the trails at a comfortable pace, with time to stop, take photos and take in the changing light as the sun goes down.
Combining adventure, off-road riding and one of Cappadocia’s best-known natural spectacles, this tour suits couples, friends and groups looking for an active way to experience the region’s sunset outside of a hot air balloon flight.
What to Expect
Safety Briefing and Practice
At the ATV base, the team will explain how to start, stop, steer and control the quad bike. You will receive a helmet and complete a short practice before joining the route.
Follow the Route Leader
The group travels behind an experienced route leader throughout the tour. Participants must maintain a safe distance and follow the instructions provided during the briefing.
Ride Through Cappadocia’s Valleys
Travel along natural tracks through Cappadocia’s valleys and rock formations. The surfaces may include dust, gravel, slopes and uneven sections, providing a varied off-road riding experience.
Stop at Scenic Locations
The route includes short stops at suitable viewpoints where you can rest and take photographs. Stop locations may change according to access, trail and weather conditions.
Watch the Sunset
The final part of the route leads to a panoramic location selected for the evening’s sunset. You will have time to watch the landscape change colour before beginning the return journey.
Return to Your Hotel
After approximately two hours, you will return to the ATV base and be transferred back to your hotel.

Booking & Payment
- A 40% deposit payment is required at the time of booking.
- The remaining balance required to be paid in cash on the day of the tour.
Cancellation & Refund
- Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the tour date.
- In case of late cancellation or no-show, the full booking cost will apply.
Hotel Pickup and Drop-Off
- Hotel pickup and drop-off are included from centrally located hotels throughout Cappadocia.
- Pick-up is scheduled approximately 2.5 hours before sunset.
- Your exact pick-up time will be confirmed one day before the tour.
Participation Requirements
- No previous ATV experience is required.
- An international driving licence is not required.
- The minimum participation age is 10. Children under 10 are not permitted to join ATV tours.
- The tour is not suitable for pregnant travellers or guests with serious back problems.
FAQs
Is the Sunset ATV Tour private or shared?
The standard tour operates as a shared convoy led by a route leader. Other participants may join the same departure.
Can two people ride on one ATV?
Yes, an ATV can carry a driver and one passenger. However, riding separately generally provides greater comfort and easier vehicle control.
Can we drive independently from the group?
No. Participants must follow the route leader and remain with the group. Leaving the planned route or driving independently is not permitted.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour operates in most weather conditions, but in the case of heavy rain, storms or unsafe trail conditions, the tour may be rescheduled or cancelled for safety reasons. You'll be informed in advance if this affects your booking.
Can I take my phone or camera?
Yes. Photographs can be taken during designated stops. Phones and cameras should be securely stored while the ATV is moving because the tracks can be dusty and uneven.
Is it safe to ride a quad bike on this tour?
All riders receive a helmet, safety briefing and guidance from an experienced route leader before departure. As with any off-road activity, riders should follow the route leader's instructions and ride at a safe pace, especially on uneven terrain.

I have no fault of this experience from pick up to drop off it was professionally and enjoyably... done. The staff were fun and friendly. The pilot was talented and added some fun aspects shadows on rock faces, commentary etc. It can be a bit daunting to spend this much on an experience but this is one of those that are really worth it.
