Book a Cappadocia Sunset Camel Safari Tour and explore the region’s spectacular valleys on camelback during the golden hour. Ride past fairy chimneys, ancient cave dwellings and volcanic rock formations as the setting sun covers Cappadocia’s landscape in warm shades of red, orange and gold.
The approximately 1.5-hour Cappadocia sunset camel ride follows scenic trails selected according to the daily weather and route conditions. Accompanied by a local trail guide, you will travel through the peaceful countryside and stop at panoramic viewpoints for sunset photographs.
No previous camel-riding experience is necessary. Before setting off, the guide provides a safety briefing, introduces you to your camel and explains the basic riding instructions. The gentle pace makes the experience suitable for both first-time riders and travellers looking for a relaxing outdoor activity.

What to Expect
Meet Your Camel
Upon arrival at the ranch, you will meet the camels and the local trail team. Before the safari begins, you will receive basic instructions on mounting, sitting comfortably and behaving safely around the animals.
Join the Camel Caravan
Once everyone is ready, the group sets out in a small caravan led by an experienced trail leader. The camels move at a gentle walking pace, giving you time to settle into the rhythm and enjoy the surrounding landscape.
Ride Through Cappadocia’s Valleys
The route follows natural trails surrounded by fairy chimneys, rock formations and colourful volcanic slopes. These quieter paths offer a distinctive perspective on Cappadocia’s scenery and several opportunities for photographs.
Watch the Sunset
As sunset approaches, the surrounding rocks and valleys begin to reflect shades of gold, orange and pink. Weather permitting, the route includes time to appreciate and photograph the changing evening light.
Return and Hotel Drop-Off
After approximately 1.5 hours of riding, the caravan returns to the starting point. Your driver will then take you back to your hotel, completing the experience.

Are the camels led individually during the safari?
The camels usually travel together as a caravan under the supervision of the trail team. The exact arrangement may depend on the participants and trail conditions.
Can two adults ride the same camel?
No. Each adult participant is generally assigned an individual camel for safety and comfort.
Is camel riding comfortable?

he pace is slow and steady, closer to a gentle rocking motion than a bumpy ride. Guests of different ages and fitness levels join comfortably, though as with any animal ride, it isn't as smooth as sitting in a car.
Is there a weight limit for riders?
Yes, riders must be under 95 kg (210 lbs) for the safety and comfort of both the rider and the camel.
What should I bring for the sunset safari?
Wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes, and bring a light layer, as it can get cooler once the sun goes down. A camera or phone for photos is also recommended.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour operates in most weather conditions, but in the case of heavy rain, storms or unsafe conditions, the tour may be rescheduled or cancelled for safety reasons. You'll be informed in advance if this affects your booking.

I have no fault of this experience from pick up to drop off it was professionally and enjoyably... done. The staff were fun and friendly. The pilot was talented and added some fun aspects shadows on rock faces, commentary etc. It can be a bit daunting to spend this much on an experience but this is one of those that are really worth it. We flew mainly over the Valley of Love, but from above, you can see the entire area between Goreme and Uchisar. The price is €70 per person, but the price depends on the weather.
