You will be collected from your centrally located Cappadocia hotel before sunrise. Your exact pickup time will be confirmed one day before the tour because sunrise times change throughout the year.

Experience the beauty of Cappadocia at dawn on a Cappadocia Sunrise Camel Safari Tour through the region’s scenic valleys. Ride along peaceful trails as the first morning light reveals fairy chimneys, cave dwellings and distinctive volcanic rock formations.
This approximately 1.5-hour sunrise camel ride in Cappadocia offers a relaxing way to explore the landscape while colourful hot air balloons drift across the morning sky. The combination of sunrise light, traditional camels and balloon-filled views creates excellent opportunities for memorable photographs.
No previous camel-riding experience is required. Before the tour begins, the local guide provides a short safety briefing and helps each participant become comfortable with their camel. The group then follows the guide along a planned route, with stops at scenic locations whenever conditions allow.

What to Expect
Meet the Camels
At the starting point, you will meet the camels and the local trail team. Each participant will receive instructions about mounting, sitting safely and behaving around the animals.
Mounting and Safety Briefing
The camel will kneel so you can mount with assistance from the team. You will be shown how to hold the saddle and maintain your balance when the camel stands up and sits down.
Ride Through Cappadocia’s Valleys
The safari follows natural trails through the surrounding valleys and volcanic landscape. The camels travel at a controlled walking pace while the local trail guide manages the route.
Experience Sunrise and Balloon Views
Watch the morning light spread across Cappadocia from the elevated position of the camel. When balloon flights are operating, balloons may be visible above or across the surrounding landscape.
Take Photographs
The route may include suitable opportunities to photograph the camels, sunrise and surrounding scenery. Any stops are determined by the trail guide according to animal and participant safety.
Return to Your Hotel
After approximately 1.5 hours, you will return to the starting point and be transferred back to your hotel.

FAQs
I've never ridden a camel before — can I still join?
Yes. Our team will show you how to mount, dismount and sit comfortably before you set off, and we won't start the ride until everyone feels ready. Staff stay close by throughout in case you need help.
Is camel riding comfortable?
The pace is slow and steady, closer to a gentle rocking motion than a bumpy ride. Guests of different ages and fitness levels join comfortably, though as with any animal ride, it isn't as smooth as sitting in a car.
Is there a weight limit for riders?
Yes, riders must be under 95 kg (210 lbs) for the safety and comfort of both the rider and the camel.
What should I bring for the sunrise safari?
Wear comfortable clothing and closed shoes, and bring a light jacket, as mornings in Cappadocia can be cool before sunrise. A camera or phone for photos is also recommended.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour operates in most weather conditions, but in the case of heavy rain, storms or unsafe conditions, the tour may be rescheduled or cancelled for safety reasons. You'll be informed in advance if this affects your booking.
Can I choose which camel I ride?
Camels are assigned by the trail team according to participant suitability and the needs of the group. A specific camel cannot normally be selected.
Are the camels controlled by the participants?
No. The camels follow the managed safari route under the supervision of the local trail team. Participants are not expected to control or direct them independently.
Can I take photographs while riding?
You can bring a phone or camera, but it should be securely stored while the camel is standing up, sitting down or moving over uneven ground. Follow the trail guide’s instructions before using it.
Will the camels run during the safari?
No. The safari follows a controlled walking pace suitable for the route and group.
What happens if balloon flights are cancelled?
The camel safari is a separate activity and may still operate when trail and weather conditions are suitable. However, there will be no balloons in the sky when balloon flights are cancelled.

I have no fault of this experience from pick up to drop off it was professionally and enjoyably... done. The staff were fun and friendly. The pilot was talented and added some fun aspects shadows on rock faces, commentary etc. It can be a bit daunting to spend this much on an experience but this is one of those that are really worth it.
