The route changes with the wind and the balloons’ movement, so each ride offers a different view of Cappadocia’s sunrise landscape. Along the way, there are opportunities to stop for photographs and watch the balloons drifting over the valleys. Combining off-road riding with one of Cappadocia’s most memorable morning scenes, this tour is ideal for travellers looking for a Cappadocia ATV tour with hot air balloons.
What to Expect
Safety Briefing and Equipment
Receive your helmet and a clear safety briefing before departure. You will be shown how to operate the ATV and have time to become familiar with the controls before the ride begins.
Follow the Balloons’ Daily Route
Set off as the balloons begin to rise. The route follows the general direction of that morning’s balloon flight, taking you through Cappadocia’s valleys and open landscapes as the sky fills with balloons.
Sunrise Views and Photo Stops
Pause at suitable points along the route to take photographs and enjoy the sunrise scenery. The exact stops depend on the balloons’ daily direction, ground access and conditions during the ride.
Return Ride and Hotel Drop-Off
After approximately two hours, return to the ATV base and continue with your transfer back to the hotel.

- A 35% deposit payment is required at the time of booking.
- The remaining balance required to be paid in cash on the day of the tour.
Cancellation & Refund
- Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the tour date.
- In case of late cancellation or no-show, the full booking cost will apply.
Hotel Pickup and Drop-Off
- Hotel pickup and drop-off are included from centrally located hotels throughout Cappadocia.
- Pick-up is scheduled approximately one hour before sunrise.
- Your exact pick-up time will be confirmed one day before the tour.
Participation Requirements
- No previous ATV experience is required.
- An international driving licence is not required.
- The minimum participation age is 10. Children under 10 are not permitted to join ATV tours.
- The tour is not suitable for pregnant travellers or guests with serious back problems.
FAQs
Does the Tour Follow a Fixed Valley Route?
No. This tour follows the general direction of the balloons’ flight on that particular morning. The route changes daily according to wind conditions, balloon movement and accessible tracks.
Will We Ride Directly Under the Hot Air Balloons?
The aim is to follow the balloons from the ground and enjoy their movement across the landscape. However, their exact flight path, altitude and distance from the ATV route cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
What Happens If Hot Air Balloon Flights Do Not Operate?
The balloon-following element depends on balloons operating that morning. If balloon flights are not operating, balloons will not be part of the experience. The ATV tour itself remains subject to suitable weather and operating conditions.
Is a Hot Air Balloon Flight Included in This Tour?
No. This is a ground-based ATV experience designed to follow and view the balloons. A hot air balloon flight is a separate activity.
What Should I Wear for a Sunrise ATV Tour?
Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dusty, along with closed shoes. Early mornings can be cool, so a jacket or extra layer is recommended.
Can I Take Photos During the Tour?
Yes. The tour includes stops where you can take photographs of the balloons, valleys and sunrise landscape. Secure your phone or camera while riding.
• A 30% deposit is required at the time of booking.
• The remaining balance must be paid in cash on the day of the activity in EUR, TRY or USD.
• If you prefer to pay the remaining balance by card, a 10% fee is added to the outstanding amount.
• Free cancellation is available up to 2 days before the activity date. Cancellations made within 2 days of the activity, or no-shows, are charged the full booking amount.
• The route follows the general direction of the balloons’ daily flight and changes according to wind, balloon movement and ground conditions. A specific valley route, close proximity to balloons or balloon landings cannot be guaranteed.
• The tour lasts approximately 2 hours. Your exact pickup time is confirmed the day before the ride.
• A helmet and safety briefing are included. No previous ATV experience or international driving licence is required.
• This activity is not suitable for pregnant travellers or guests with serious back problems.

I used this company for the airport transfer to Göreme, the hot air balloon ride, and the transfer... back. The staff was professional and responsive during WhatsApp communications, and the shuttle rides to and from the airport were timely and convenient. The hot air balloon ride itself was the experience of a lifetime - we stayed up in the air for what felt like well over an hour and witnessed a lovely sunrise and panoramic views over the fairy chimneys. The landing ended up smooth as well - they landed gently right on top of a flatbed trailer with help from the ground crew. The post-flight drinks and flight certificate were another special touch. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Türkiye and will not hesitate to use them again if I ever return to Cappadocia!read more

I can't imagine that there would be a better company than this for a balloon experience in... Cappadocia. The trip itself was perfect from start to finish - we were a full hour in the air as advertised and nothing was cut short like some other companies seem to do (although this could be weather dependant from day to day). The balloon operator was so skilled that we didn't even need to adopt the "landing position" as practiced in the safety briefing - he managed to land the balloon directly on the trailer, without so much as a bump (which is a lot more impressive than it sounds if you've never been in a balloon like this before). I was a little worried about the amount of people in the basket (28) in case we were going to be squashed together and unable to move or get good photos and views - however, this was not the case. The large basket is divided into smaller sections and there are max 4 people in a section. Everyone had space to move and adjust themselves for photos and sightseeing without anyone getting in the way. I spoke at length with the company on Whatsapp before the trip and they were so quick to respond and very professional. Even the bus driver was great, arriving perfectly on time in a modern and comfy vehicle.*IMPORTANT TO KNOW* sharing with you the info I found out through extensive research - the price you are booking online might not be the same price you pay on the day if the flight the day before was cancelled or if your own flight is cancelled and you're put on the next one. This is what happens for every company in Cappadocia - prices go up and down on demand like the stock market. However, this company is still better to go with that the others because they will let you know in advance about price changes and will let you make your own decision about whether to go ahead with the booking or not. Many other companies simply cancel on the "cheaper" tickets and don't facilitate any rebooking, which could leave you scrambling to find another booking even in the middle fo the night. This is why I was happy to trust Hot Air Balloon Goreme in the first place and they did not let me down.read more

Great price, last minute booking and they couldn’t have been more helpful. Simple WhatsApp... communication, booked, paid deposit, picked up at 5:45am from our hotel and we were the first drop off after, so we were back before 8:30.I was a bit ho-hum about the ballooning but wow, it’s something I’d say ‘you have to do it’ to anyone who comes here.The pilot was great and the driver and team were always there to help people in and out of the basket. You can choose from several balloon companies through a Turkish balloon agency. Initially, I was... worried because it wasn't a booking site like getyourguide, but communication via WhatsApp was smooth, and I was able to get a better price for the balloon ride than what my accommodation quoted!*Payment involves a deposit paid by credit card after a provisional booking, with the remaining balance paid locally. We just had the most incredible experience with Hot Air Balloon Goreme! what a truly magical... experience!Gökhan and the whole team were absolutely magnificent, professional, charismatic, funny, and so welcoming. I have no fault of this experience from pick up to drop off it was professionally and enjoyably... done. The staff were fun and friendly. The pilot was talented and added some fun aspects shadows on rock faces, commentary etc. It can be a bit daunting to spend this much on an experience but this is one of those that are really worth it. We flew mainly over the Valley of Love, but from above, you can see the entire area between Goreme and Uchisar. The price is €70 per person, but the price depends on the weather.
