What to Expect
Meet the Camels
At the starting point, you will meet the camels and the local trail team. Each participant will receive instructions about mounting, sitting safely and behaving around the animals.
Mounting and Safety Briefing
The camel will kneel so you can mount with assistance from the team. You will be shown how to hold the saddle and maintain your balance as the camel stands up.
Follow the Camel Caravan
The camels travel together along a managed route under the supervision of the local trail guide. Participants are not expected to control or direct the animals independently.
Explore Cappadocia’s Valleys
The safari follows natural trails through the surrounding valleys, passing fairy chimneys, cave openings and volcanic formations at a controlled walking pace.
Stop for Photographs
The trail guide may pause at suitable locations where you can photograph the camels and surrounding landscape. Stops depend on the route, group pace and animal safety.
Return to Your Hotel
After approximately 1.5 hours, you will return to the starting point and be transferred back to your hotel.

I've never ridden a camel before — can I still join?
Yes. Our team will show you how to mount, dismount and sit comfortably before you set off, and we won't start the ride until everyone feels ready. Staff stay close by throughout in case you need help.
Can I choose my own start time?
Yes. The tour runs several times a day, so you can pick a time that fits around your other plans in Cappadocia.
Is camel riding comfortable?
The pace is slow and steady, closer to a gentle rocking motion than a bumpy ride. Guests of different ages and fitness levels join comfortably, though as with any animal ride, it isn't as smooth as sitting in a car.
Is there a weight limit for riders?
Yes, riders must be under 95 kg (210 lbs) for the safety and comfort of both the rider and the camel.
Is this tour suitable for children?
The safari suits older children who can sit comfortably and follow basic instructions. If you're travelling with younger children, contact us in advance so we can advise on the best option.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The tour operates in most weather conditions, but in the case of heavy rain, storms or unsafe conditions, the tour may be rescheduled or cancelled for safety reasons. You'll be informed in advance if this affects your booking.
Can I control the camel myself?
No. The camels follow a managed caravan route under the supervision of the local trail team.
Will the camels run?
No. The safari follows a controlled walking pace suitable for the route, animals and participants.

I have no fault of this experience from pick up to drop off it was professionally and enjoyably... done. The staff were fun and friendly. The pilot was talented and added some fun aspects shadows on rock faces, commentary etc. It can be a bit daunting to spend this much on an experience but this is one of those that are really worth it.
